Newman and Thistle rushed down to Accident and Emergency as fast as their legs could take them. It was trke. A gunman, brandishing a revolver, had taken five nurses and ten patients hostage. "I want a million pounds in cash and a helicopter here in one hour. If you don't meet my demands, I'll start killing the hostages," he cried. Cameron Thistle started to walk towards the gunman.
